Очень классное видео, спасибо!
Sehr sorgfältig gearbeitet
Thank you!
Excellent Demonstration. Thank you
Thank you so much!😊
Thank you. Your videos for jogless italian cast on are the best I've found. A lot of my patterns call for 2K 2P stitches for the ribbing. Your video has 2P at the start. Any suggestions for what to do to start with 2K?
Thank you so much for your kind feedback! I would do everything the way it’s done in the video. The joining in the round will be completely jogless and invisible after you weave in the yarn tail the way I showed it. And after completing the ribbing I would simply move the marker of the beginning of the round by 2 stitches.
That is perfect.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support! I really appreciate it!
Excellent demonstration. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for such a very detailed tutorial. I really appreciate the careful explanation and close camera shots. One question- I have noticed in other tutorials on the Italian cast-on that other knitters slip the purl stitch. I noticed that you don’t do so. Do you know what the difference would be in the finished cast on with or without slipping the purl?
Hi Kelly, I am not sure which purl stitch you are referring to. I guess it might be a tubular casting on, that you watched in other videos. In this video it’s a direct/easier technique, without the tubular part. If you prefer the tubular method, I have this video: ITALIAN TUBULAR CAST ON for rib 2x2 - NEW completely JOGLESS joining in the Round. ruclips.net/video/vXKXPbM3BSE/видео.html. I hope you will find it helpful.
@@irinarevomy apologies. I must have been looking at some other tutorial. I reviewed your tutorial and it is excellent and I was able to duplicate your steps and am very pleased with the outcome. Thanks again.
Thank you, Kelly! I am so glad you like the tutorial!
So helpful. Thank you. UK
Thank you so much! 😊
I love this! I’ve only ever done the first step then I randomly add other decreases and end up not as even as I would like. Thank you
Thank you so much, Hilda! I used to too! 😀
This is very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Rita! I am really glad!
Love your You Tube videos. I know it must be a lot of work to create so I thank you.
Thank you!!❤️
Such a lovely, easy pattern! I have a single ply lace weight yarn (variegated) in stash & it’s been there for quite a while… this pattern would work I think! Crocheted for a zillion years, and I really like “skip first st” for a decrease = less bulk! Perfect tips! Saving this for future! Thank you!
Lace weight will be great! Have a good time crocheting! 😀
I have no words, I'm in awe. Just wish I could thank her more. GBY
Thank you so much, Diana!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support!
Quick question from a new knitter. To use the jog/jogless icord method you modelled in your video do we cast on two extra stitches then we need? For example if my pattern calls for 110 stitches do I cast on 112 because we remove two in order to join them?
Your countable cast on stitches start with the first stitch after the provisional piece - in the video it’s the first stitch of the main colour on the right needle tip. And the last countable 2 stitches would be both loops of the last kfb. So, if you need to cast on 110 stitches, count from the first stitch of the main colour on the right needle tip to the last two stitches of the kfb. :)
@@irinarevo Thank you!
🙂🙂🙂
😊❤️
Takk!
Thank you so much, Sati! I really appreciate your support!❤️
Do you use a straight needle to cast on or the cable needle, then switch to the cable needle for the set up row?
I use a cable needle/circular needle from the start. It might be helpful to cast on using a straight needle to reduce the risk of twisting the cast on row.
🤩

This was fantastically helpful thank you!
I am so glad!😊
One of the BEST tutorial videos I’ve ever watched. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Kim!!
Clear and on point❤
Thank you!!😊
Hi! My pattern is a K1, P2 repeat to the end with the last three stitches a K2, P1. Would I need to add the two stitches from this video to that pattern? I wasn’t sure with the last stitch being a purl. Thank you!!
Hi Carolyn! I think it would depend on what you are making. If you need to seam pieces, then I would add a selvage stitch to the seamed side, this would keep first and last stitches of your stitch pattern unchanged. If it’s a scarf then either you can treat the 1st and last stitches as selvage or add two selvage stitches. I would try a swatch with additional selvage stitches and without and see which one looks better.
@@irinarevo thank you so much!! I forgot to mention that it is a scarf. I will give it a shot. Thank you for your help!!
Thank you!! Will try this right now
Hope you like it!

Great pattern. Thank you for the step by step information.
You’re most welcome 😊 and thank you!!
Absolutely brilliant. Such a neat join. Instructions clear and slow enough to follow without pausing video. Thank you
Thank you so much for your very kind feedback!☺️
Hi thank you for the tutorial! One question do you start the bind off after and increase row or the row with the slip stitch? Many thanks
After the row with the slip stitch.
Sorry I’m a newbie 😂 on the row I knit first stitch then increase, knit the rest but on the 3 stitches shape the corner then turn and then bind off?
No worries. No, it’s not the row with the increase at the beginning. It’s the row that started with the slip stitch that you shape the corner at the end of, then turn around and do the bind off.
Thank you so much, you are a great teacher
Thank you!!😊
Ottima inquadratura. Video lento, tranqillo, perfetto per capire anche senza istruzioni audio. Complimenti. La ringrazio, proprio quello che mi serviva. Guarderò anche gli altri video. Lucia da Venezia.

You are such a great technician! And a fellow Torontonian! :)
Thank you so much, Theresa! 😃
Excellent Tutorial! Thank you.
Thank you so much, Clair!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and plan to try it. One question: You changed the needle size from US 3 to US 4 on one needle on the first row after the setup. Did you then go back to US 3 for the remaining knitting? My project (and gauge) requires a US 3 throughout.
The main needle size for the ribbing was US 4. I go for a smaller size for the setup to avoid flared edge. I only changed the size of the right hand needle (not both) because since the right hand needle is the one that determines the gauge, keeping the left hand needle size smaller makes it easier to insert the right hand tip into the stitches and makes knitting faster. If your project requires a US 3, you can use it from the beginning or use a slightly smaller needle for the setup (if your swatch shows that the edge is flared). :)
@@irinarevo thank you for the quick response. I an wait to try this method. You have a great teaching style.
Thank you so much!! Have a very good time knitting!
Perfect! Nice and slow! Perfect! Thank you ❤
Thank you, Lena!! Glad you like it!

Thank you so much, Karlene!
This is my second project, so very detailed and clear steps at the start really helped. Thanks a lot for your time and work you've put into creating these videos ✨🙌
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support!☺️
Irina, I really appreciate your work, including this jogless sewn BO technique! I used to look at various knitters for instruction videos, but now I only look to you - you have the cleanest, most innovative, & easy-to-follow techniques. I struggled through your early silent instruction videos, and want to add that your English is now great - you've learned very quickly! I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback, Karen! ☺️
This is beautifully explained, thank you Irina.
Thank you so much, Pam! Glad you like it!
This is excellent. Thank you so much
Thank you, Alison!!!
Thank you so much for this video! I would like to make this scarf but with stripes of 2 different colors. Any tips on the best way to carry up the yarn at the side with this edge method? 😊
Hi Lora! A am very glad you like the scarf! I think carrying the yarn along this selvedge would make the selvedge a bit thicker, and if the yarn colours are very contrasting it could be visible (unlike in a sweater where you could hide it in the seam). Maybe, a 2-stitch I-cord selvedge could better help to hide the "other" colour inside.
Thank you very much it helped me a lot! I am from Córdoba Argentina
I am so glad and Hello from Ontario!
Great video! I’m following #3 and I’m confused on how to finish off method #3. I have p, k, p, k, k, and I cannot figure out how to do the final two knits. Thank you!
